Join Rocket at IBM InterConnect February 22-26

IBM Interconnect 2015

The team at IBM is hosting a new event this year, with a new name. Big Blue has consolidated three existing events–Impact, Innovate and Pulse–into one mega-conference called IBM InterConnect. This new event focuses on four themes impacting almost every business today: Cloud, Mobile, DevOps and Security. You can learn more about the event directly on the IBM event website.

If you’re already registered (or planning to in the coming weeks) the Rocket team will have a big presence at the event. Be sure to stop by and see us at our booth in the expo hall, where we’ll have a barista serving up free coffee, lattes and cappuccinos during the day, and a variety of beers in the evening. While you’re there, one of the Rocketeers staffing the booth will be happy to talk to you about all the ways Rocket can help your business succeed in 2015. And if you play, you can check out some of the custom guitars we’ll be bringing.

Rocket Software Booth

There are also several Rocketeers leading breakout sessions at the event. As of press time, here’s the complete list:

How MSPs Can Leverage TSM and Cloud-Enabled Reporting to Provide Data Protection Offerings with Amedee Potier (Rocket Software) and Alex Fagioli (Tectrade Computers Ltd)

Join this talk for an overview and demo of how the Rocket Servergraph backup reporting solution is used by partners to build complete and robust customer offerings that provide a comprehensive overview and visibility into clients’ data protection environments. These environments typically include IBM Tivoli Storage Manager and often other solutions, such as virtual tape libraries (VTLs) or other backup applications. Rocket Software will also invite Tectrade to share a discussion around the usage of Servergraph to build a cloud reporting solution. See how Servergraph can report on all aspects of enterprise data protection, correlate data from multiple vendors to shed light on possible exposure, and enable IT to optimize cost and performance.

Optimizing Batch and Hierarchical Storage Management Performance on z/OS with Janet Sun and Roger Fry (Rocket Software)

In this session, the speakers will discuss buffering and segmentation techniques that can optimize your batch window and reduce the impact to your critical onlines. They will also cover an often overlooked method to reduce the CPU consumed by Hierarchical Storage Management (HSM)… CPU that can be better used processing business transactions, or delivering online service to your customers.
