iCluster Journal Analysis Report Part 2 – Spool Files

In our last posts we covered the basics the DMANZJRN command used for journal analysis. The net result of the command is a set of 8 spool files with the results of the analysis. In this post we will list these spool files.

Here are the spool files produced:

  • DMANZJBAND – Total numbers of entries and total sizes of entries by date and hour. This report is for bandwidth analysis.
  • DMANZJNTVO – Total numbers of entries and total sizes of entries by native object, date, and hour.
  • DMANZJBSFO – Total numbers of entries and total sizes of entries by byte stream file (BSF), date, and hour.
  • DMANZJPGM – Total numbers of entries and total sizes of entries by program, date, and hour.
  • DMANZJJOB – Total numbers of entries and total sizes of entries by job, date, and hour.
  • DMANZJNENT – Total numbers of entries and total sizes of entries by native object, entry code, and entry type.
  • DMANZJBENT – Total numbers of entries and total sizes of entries by BSF, entry code, and entry type.
  • DMANZJJRN – Total numbers of entries and total sizes of entries by journal, date, and hour.
