Rocket at 25: a blast from CorVu’s past
CorVu was founded in 1990, and was brought into the Rocket family 17 years later in 2007. Based in Sydney, Australia, the first CorVu product hit the marketing in 1993, and the company expanded to other countries around the world within a matter of years. By September 1994 a London office had opened, with a US office coming a year later.
Andrew Aho, Rocket’s Managing Director and Country Manager for Australia, was part of the CorVu team, and recently uncovered two items from the company’s past. The first is a company profile from the December 1996 issue of MIS magazine. As Andrew explains “The profile was done because CorVu was an up-and-coming software company, and we had just been listed in the MIS Magazine Software 500. Justin MacIntosh was the founder and CEO and there are two customer profiles in the doc. The back page has a timeline of company highlights.”
The second piece, a 1998 company newsletter, was “an update for customers put talked about new customers, new partnerships, expansion and even the CorVu touch football team.”
The CorVu team has continued to bring new products to market since becoming part of Rocket–in fact Rocket Discover, our new Business Intelligence solution, was largely developed by the CorVu team! If you haven’t already, go take a look and see what the team has been up to.
