Congratulations to Our 2018 IBM Champions!

IBM ChampionsDay in and day out, Rocketeers inspire me with their brilliance, creativity, and dedication. It’s not just me they’re impressing, though—it’s also our customers, our partners, and our communities. Whether it’s Ellucian naming Rocket as its Growth Partner of the Year or Rocket® D3 taking home DBTA’s Reader’s Choice Award for Best MultiValue Database, Rocketeers are constantly earning plaudits for their hard work and attentiveness to solving real problems quickly and effectively.

In the last few weeks a number of our Rocketeers received the latest affirmation of excellence in their work from their peers. I’m referring of course to the announcement of our 2018 IBM Champions. Saghi, Patrick, Ron, Timm, Tim, Kyle, and Jørn—well-earned and well-deserved, each one of you. You make me proud to be a Rocketeer!

For those who may not be familiar with the IBM Champion program, I should mention that it is a significant honor to be named to this elite group. The designation is only given in recognition of work in the IBM sphere that goes above and beyond. IBM Champions are judged on a wide spectrum of criteria, including their commitment to sharing knowledge, evangelizing IBM solutions, nurturing the IBM community, and extending the reach of the IBM portfolio through innovative applications or combinations of IBM technology. Those that are selected (around 650 were chosen this year) earn the honor and the privilege of calling themselves IBM experts in their respective categories.

Just one more note before I conclude. Community has been a central pillar of our business philosophy here at Rocket Software since day one. I firmly believe that the company that makes it its mission to not only help its customers and partners, but also to make a difference through participation in broader communities such as professional networks and local organizations, is the company that has the purpose and the drive to succeed in the long term.

I always say that people come to Rocket because, yes, we have the technical skills, but it’s just as much our attitude, our integrity, and our emphasis on fostering strong relationships within our communities that make us who we are. With this latest recognition—and all those other honors our Rocketeers so often earn—you all demonstrate the value of our approach each and every day.
