This year, a record-breaking number of Rocket employees were named as 2020 IBM Champions—13 to be exact. To celebrate our ongoing partnership with IBM, and our dedication to innovation, legacy technologies and legendary results, we want to highlight them.

Over the next weeks, we will count down to IBM THINK with each of the 2020 Champions, and celebrate what we love about our partnership with IBM!

Name: Saghi Amirsoleymani
Title: Vice President
Length of time working at Rocket Software: 3 years

What it means to be an IBM Champion: It’s a very rewarding experience for me to have the opportunity to help customers understand the products and be able to take advantage of a terrific platform.

What I love about IBM: IBM is everywhere. If you go to any retailer, they use IBM software and hardware. Turn on the weather channel and it is IBM. Go to sporting events and you will see the IBM logo and their products.

What I love about the IBM/Rocket Software partnership: It’s a true partnership. When we go to customers there is no distinction between Rocket and IBM. This excellent relationship and partnership with customers has resulted in delivery of many competitive and strategic enhancements.

How do IBM products improve everyday lives? The use of Artificial Intelligence in IBM products can save lives. It has helped hospitals gain more insight on medical records and patient history to see trends in medications and outcomes.

Favorite IBM product: The IBM Z mainframe. It continues to store some of the world’s most valued data.

Favorite IBM project: Db2 for ZOS. It’s a database engine that will respond quickly to your business needs, implement changes faster and incorporate new technologies significantly more rapidly. DB2 gets faster releases and faster to market with new technology support, making our favorite database even better.
